Jim Lake Drawdown Channel Arrowwood National Wildlife Refuge

The downstream Jamestown Reservoir was filled in 1965 and backed water onto the Arrowwood National Wildlife Refuge, preventing ideal management in most years. Artificial water features subsequently constructed on the refuge allow managers to manipulate water levels to better manage habitat for wildlife needs.
