Detailed Description
The fissure 8 fountain reaches heights of 100 - 130 feet, as measured during the overnight hours of June 11-12. Chilled lava fragments have built a three-sided cone around the fissure (on the downwind side) that is about 100 feet high. USGS image taken June 12, 2018 around 6:10 AM.
