Last Interglacial simulated biomes

Detailed Description
Last Interglacial vegetation changes simulated for 127-119 ka (127,000-119,000 years ago) by BIOME4, an equilibrium vegetation model (Sommers et al. 2021, data from Shafer et al. 2021). BIOME4-simulated biomes were aggregated into a set of 6 megabiomes: Forest, Woodland or savanna, Shrubland, Grassland, Desert, and Tundra. The animation also shows simulated changes to the Greenland Ice Sheet (Sommers et al. 2021).
