Detailed Description
Lava oozes from a small breakout near Bryson's Cinders, in Kīlauea Volcano's lower East Rift Zone. The breakout was part of a small overflow from the fissure 8 lava channel. HVO field crews track overflows, breakouts and fissure 8 lava channel behavior as conditions allow, and report information to the Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency.
