Lehman Cave
Detailed Description
As stalagmites increase in size, they commonly develop a flowstone lattice along their sides. Whereas stalactites typically have small tube-like passages that deliver water to their lower tips, stalagmites form when water drips and splashes onto their surface. It is not unusual to have a tiny stalactite on the ceiling above a massive stalagmite on the cavern floor.
