From left, USGS Core Science Systems Associate Director Kevin Gallagher, USGS Deputy Director for Operations Cindy Lodge, and Lompoc, CA Mayor Jenelle Osborne at the dedication of a mural that celebrates the Landsat legacy on Sept. 26, 2021. Gallagher and Lodge offered Osborne a Landsat image of Santa Barbara County, CA. Every Landsat satellite has launched from what is now known as Vandenberg Space Force Base, just north of Lompoc.
