Mammoth Mountain, California. Black lines are mapped faults, the colored regions are contours of carbon dioxide fluxes mapped in various degassing and tree-kill areas in 2011-2012. Red outlined areas indicate other tree-kill areas that were not measured during this survey. Rainbow scale is the amount of carbon dioxide, measured in grams per square meter, released per day.
