Detailed Description

 

Massive cliffs of the Hidden Valley Dolomite (Silurian and Devonian) form the core of Marble Canyon's narrow gorges. The cliffs in the distances appear more layered and consist of dolomite, limestone, and chert of the Lost Burro, Perdido, and younger formations of Devonian to Pennsylvanian age (Hunt and Mabey, 1966).
