Detailed Description
Travertine (calcium carbonate) speleothems in Mitchell Caverns include a column, stalactites, and flowstone. Mitchell Caverns is within the Providence Mountains State Recreation Area, a park area that encompasses a portion of the Providence Mountains and is entirely within the larger Mojave National Preserve.
