Location 5: Oblique aerial photographs at Hatteras, North Carolina. Oblique aerial photographs collected before (top and middle) and after (bottom) Hurricane Matthew. Storm waves and surge breached the low dunes at this location multiple times allowing water to flow across the island during storm events and transporting sand into the back bay. The yellow arrows in each image point to the same features in both photos.
