Planting native hardwoods

Detailed Description
Restoration was initiated with the planting of bottomland hardwoods at the location once occupied by the chat pile. Stem location data collected by GPS during planting, combined with future plans to collect aerial imagery using Unoccupied Aerial Systems (commonly called “drones”), will facilitate short-term assessment of stem survival and long-term monitoring of the development of individual stems and species.
