A rainbow trout below Glen Canyon Dam in the Colorado River. USGS scientists from Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center monitor ecosystem health downstream of Glen Canyon Dam. Rainbow trout are an introduced nonnative fish, yet are recreationally important to the Lees Ferry fishery downstream of Glen Canyon Dam.
