Regional map showing Fire Island National Seashore (FIIS) in relation to Long Island, NY. The study area includes alongshore and cross-shore data coverage from Fire Island Lighthouse to the Wilderness breach, where additional data was collected to monitor the movement and status of the breach opening. Also included are the locations of base stations at Robbins Rest (REST), Fire Island Coast Guard station (FICG) and the Visitors Center (VC).
