Seismic swarms at Mount Rainier 2018-2020
Detailed Description
Small magnitude earthquake swarms under the summit of Mount Rainier are fairly common, as shown in this graphic displaying data from May 2018 to March 2020. Such swarms are thought to occur due to minor changes in the hydrothermal system of the volcano.
