Detailed Description

This view shows step-like layers and rock pinnacles in the Kaibab Limestone in the Little Colorado River Gorge. The Marble Platform extends to the base of a hogback ridge along the eastern flank of the Kaibab Uplift (along the south side of Arizona Highway 64). The hogback ridge is called the Gray Mountain Monocline.
