A stream discharge measurement made through holes bored in the ice.

Detailed Description

Cameron Ensor of the Pennsylvania WSC is taking an 'ice' measurement (water flow or discharge measurement beneath the ice)  using a Accoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) in holes cut through the six inch thick ice. This stream gage was established in 1929 and has a drainage area of 207 square miles.
