Summit Vertical Motion - Past 5 Years Mauna Loa. Vertical motion of a GPS station on the southeast side of Mauna Loa's summit caldera. This station is in an area that has historically shown the largest amount of uplift with inflation. An offset in early 2014 is due to an equipment change at the station and is not related to deformation of the volcano.
