USGS booth at the Alaska Forum on the Environment Conference
Detailed Description
The Alaska Forum on the Environment Forum is held each February in Anchorage, Alaska providing an opportunity for State, local, Federal, military, private, Native leaders and professionals to come together and discuss the latest projects, processes, and issues that affect Alaska. The USGS booth provides information on research in the Arctic, climate change, hazards, fish and wildlife populations, wildlife disease and environmental health, water and more. The USGS conducts scientific research for the Department of Interior. We provide data and information to the public, management agencies, and industry but have no regulatory authority. Our research areas include Ecosystems, Natural Hazards, Water Resources, and Energy and Minerals.
