USGS stream gage 1003200 SMITHS FORK NEAR BORDER, WY . 

Utah Water Science Center hydrologic technician, Martel Fisher, uses Flow Tracker to measure winter discharge at Smith's Fork near Border, Wyoming. Operation: This gage has been operating since 1925! Recording since 1927 Used for: It is run for hydroelectric operations by Pacific Power and Light. Helps monitor instream flow for the River(canal bypass), as much of the water is diverted to a canal for electricity generation. Fun Facts: Was nearly destroyed by a tree last year, but saved by the technician.
