A1 West Transect – 2010

Permanent Site: A1 West Transect; Depth: 8.4 Meters (27.4 Feet); Distance from river mouth: 1.9 Kilometers (1.2 Miles) West; Pre/Post Dam Removal: 1 year pre-dam removal; Lat/Long: 48.13870775, -123.586203; Site Description: Transect is in eastern part of Freshwater Bay. Sediment is primarily sand/sandy mud with patches of boulders. Annual and perennial seaweeds are present but sparse and are located on the boulders. Red seaweeds are seen surrounding clumps of the feather duster tubeworm Eudistylia vancouveri (0:15-0:19 seconds).
