Detailed Description

Permanent Site: E2 East Transect; Depth: 14.7 Meters (48.2 Feet); Distance from river mouth: 0.9 Kilometers (0.5 Miles) east; Pre/Post Dam Removal: 10 months post-dam removal; Lat/Long: 48.15653002,-123.56130401; Site Description: This is one of our deeper sites. Video was not available in 2011 for this site pre-dam removal. As a reference video, see E2 West Transect 2011. Substrate is mainly gravel/cobble with an occasional boulder. Seaweed is gone except for a few reds (0:50, 0:56, 1:48 seconds). Invertebrates seen on video: sand-rose anemone Urticina columbiana (0:17 seconds), sunflower sea star Pycnopodia helianthoides (0:21 seconds), blood sea star Henricia leviuscula leviuscula (0:50 seconds), gumboot chiton Cryptochiton stelleri (oval shape at 1:17 seconds), rainbow sea star Orthasterias koehleri (1:59 seconds).
