Detailed Description

Permanent Site: E2 East Transect; Depth: 14.8 Meters (48.5 Feet); Distance from river mouth: 0.9 Kilometers (0.5 Miles) east; Pre/Post Dam Removal: 3 years post-dam removal; Lat/Long: 48.15653002,-123.56130401; Site Description: This is one of our deeper sites. Substrate is mainly gravel/cobble with an occasional boulder. Seaweed is absent. Featherduster tubes worms (Schizobranchia insignis) continue to be abundant as well as truncate softshell clams Mya truncata and burrowing Halcampa anemones. Invertebrates seen on video: swimming anemones Stomphia spp. (0:21, 2:19 seconds), blood sea stars Henricia leviuscula leviuscula (0:43, 0:49, 1:30 seconds), red sea urchins Strongylocentrotus franciscanus (1:28, 1:49, 2:00 seconds), staghorn bryozoan Heteropora pacifica (yellow clumps on boulder at 1:28 seconds).
