Dr. Kurt Kowalski (GLSC, Ann Arbor, Michigan) gave an invited webinar titled "An International Collaborative and Adaptive Management Framework to Manage Invasive Phragmites in the Great Lakes Basin" on February 28, 2019, as part of a series organized by the Interagency Ecological Restoration Quality Committee of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Great Lakes National Program Office. This Committee seeks to bring restoration practitioners from across the country together to discuss ecological restoration projects associated with the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.  Dr. Kowalski highlighted recent activities by the Great Lakes Phragmites Collaborative and gave an overview of the Phragmites Adaptive Management Framework (PAMF).  These programs are supported by close partnerships between USGS and the Great Lakes Commission and seek to provide resource managers with new tools and information as they manage non-native Phragmites on the landscape.
