USGS scientist invited to speak at USDA Forest Service’s "Firescape Watershed" meeting

The USFS Douglas District Ranger for the Coronado National Forest, invited Dr. Laura Norman (USGS) to present some of her hydrologic modeling results and related research to determine which watersheds have the best potential for positive effects of restoration in the future.
The intent of the meeting is to discuss successes, identify parties/groups/agencies that are interested in continuing this work, start to identify what the environmental analysis would entail, learn more about how to identify the best watersheds to conduct work, hear concerns, and generally gather momentum for the effort.
