The Bureau affiliation in outside publications should be shown first as “U.S. Geological Survey.” The author’s science center name may be listed next. If applicable, a laboratory or university affiliation follows. For USGS publications (SM 1100.3), affiliation is not shown if all authors are USGS employees; however, if one or more authors are from outside USGS, the primary affiliation is shown for all authors and secondary affiliations are not shown.
