Data Releases

The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

BatTool R package BatTool R package

This R package was developed to help the USFWS understand the effects of wind turbine mortality and WNS on the Indiana bat. The model has been described in a peer-reviewd (and open access publication). The package includes both a GUI and command line interface. The GUI only works for Myotis spp., although the command line tool has been expanded for two other genera of bats: Lasiurus spp...

Behavioral and Reproductive Effects of the Lampricides TFM and TFM:1% Niclosamide on Native Freshwater Mussels - SPSS Code Release Behavioral and Reproductive Effects of the Lampricides TFM and TFM:1% Niclosamide on Native Freshwater Mussels - SPSS Code Release

This study continues our investigations into the effects of lampricides on mussels by extending research into potential effects on behavioral and reproductive endpoints on the mussel plain pocketbook (Lampsilis cardium). We hypothesized that TFM and TFM:NIC would reduce the viability of free glochidia in a dose-dependent manner, that older glochidia would be more sensitive than younger...

Aerial thermal imagery of the Central Platte River Valley and bounding box annotations of sandhill cranes Aerial thermal imagery of the Central Platte River Valley and bounding box annotations of sandhill cranes

Aerial thermal imagery was collected over the Central Platte River Valley, Nebraska, USA. Bounding box annotations were manually created for the purpose of machine learning tasks to automate the detection of sandhill cranes. Mosaicking of the thermal imagery was complete to assemble the individual images into a single, geo-referenced image.

Fire Regimes in the Mojave Desert (1972-2010) Fire Regimes in the Mojave Desert (1972-2010)

This U.S. Geological Survey data release consists of 3 raster datasets representing estimates of probability of ignition (ProbIgnitPredict.tif), fire frequency (FrequencyPredictRF.tif), and burn severity (dNBRPredictRF.tif) in the Mojave Desert from 1984 to 2010. The data include: (1) A shapefile of the Mojave Desert that was used as our study area boundary (MojaveEcoregion_TNS_UTM83.shp...

Field Data and Models of the Missouri River at Sheepnose Bend, near Lexington, Missouri, 2019-2021 Field Data and Models of the Missouri River at Sheepnose Bend, near Lexington, Missouri, 2019-2021

This project includes field data and data supporting models of the Missouri River at Sheepnose (SN) bend, near Lexington, Missouri. Field datasets include a topobathymetric digital elevation model (DEM) for a 10-km reach of the Missouri River, repeat surveys of channel bathymetry from 2019-2021, water surface elevation profiles, velocity data collected with acoustic Dopper current...
