Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Discharge measurements at U.S. Geological Survey streamgage 05536890 Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal near Lemont, Illinois, 2005-2013 Discharge measurements at U.S. Geological Survey streamgage 05536890 Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal near Lemont, Illinois, 2005-2013
Discharge measurements made at U.S. Geological Survey Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal near Lemont, Illinois, streamgage (05536890) between 2005 and 2013 were reviewed and manually processed using QRev v3.12. Discharge was measured using Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) deployed from a moving boat according to the procedures described in Mueller and others (2013). QRev generates...
Tungsten skarn mineral resource assessment of the Great Basin region of western Nevada and eastern California - Geodatabase Tungsten skarn mineral resource assessment of the Great Basin region of western Nevada and eastern California - Geodatabase
A mineral resource assessment for tungsten, a critical mineral commodity (see 'Related External Resources' section below) for the United States, was carried out by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for a portion of the Great Basin region, in western Nevada and eastern California, between latitudes 36N and 42N and longitudes 116W and 120W. This study (Lederer and others, in review)...
Molecular data to investigate phylogeographic patterns, species boundaries, and demographic history of a North American freshwater mussel species complex (Bivalvia: Unionidae) Molecular data to investigate phylogeographic patterns, species boundaries, and demographic history of a North American freshwater mussel species complex (Bivalvia: Unionidae)
Here we provide public access to three DNA sequence alignments (COI, ND1, ITS1) and details on all specimens utilized in Keogh et al. (in review).
Interpolated groundwater-level surface, spring 2017, Bazile Groundwater Management Area, northeastern Nebraska Interpolated groundwater-level surface, spring 2017, Bazile Groundwater Management Area, northeastern Nebraska
This data set is a raster that represents the groundwater-level surface within the Bazile Groundwater Management Area (BGMA) in spring of 2017. This raster was created for use within the Geoscene3D program which combines airborne electromagnetic geophysical data along with supporting information for visualization and geological modeling. A water-level surface was created as input to a...
Batteries Included Fortran Library (BiF-lib), version 1.0.0 Batteries Included Fortran Library (BiF-lib), version 1.0.0
Standard Fortran provides limited data type, function, and subroutine support leaving the developer to write custom code for every project. This has lead to every developer having their own internal, homemade, Fortran library for doing common operations. In recognition of this, most newer programming languages incorporate a large set of standard data types and functions that the...

Python package to assist with stream network summarization. This package is intended to support efforts for any stream network having general topology (i.e. to/from nodes). Specifically this package was built to support fisheries based analyses using multiple versions of the National Hydrography Database Plus (NHDPlus) representing streams within the United States along with HydroBasins...
