Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Ecological Model Support for the Western Everglades Restoration Project (WERP) Round Five, 2023 Ecological Model Support for the Western Everglades Restoration Project (WERP) Round Five, 2023
Ecological models facilitate evaluation of alternative approaches to restore the Greater Everglades ecosystem. However, the provision of useful and accessible models is a challenge because there is often a disconnect between model output and its use by decision makers. Joint Ecosystem Modeling (JEM) meets this challenge by providing ecological model output tailored to management...
Coastwide Reference Monitoring System (CRMS) 2021 land-water classification data, Central Louisiana Coastwide Reference Monitoring System (CRMS) 2021 land-water classification data, Central Louisiana
Wetland restoration efforts conducted by the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) in Louisiana rely on monitoring efforts to determine the efficacy of these efforts. The Coastwide Reference Monitoring System (CRMS) was developed to assist in a multiple-reference approach that uses aspects of hydrogeomorphic functional assessments and probabilistic sampling...
Stable isotope values for Dry Tortugas nesting loggerheads sampled 2013-2018 Stable isotope values for Dry Tortugas nesting loggerheads sampled 2013-2018
We used a combination of stable isotope analysis of carbon and nitrogen values in nesting loggerhead sea turtle samples to describe the foraging area used by each turtle. Here we present the stable isotope values for United States Geological Survey (USGS) turtles sampled in the remote Dry Tortugas National Park, south Florida, and their assigned foraging area.
Wetland vegetation and elevation survey within the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve, Jacksonville, Florida, 2021–2022 Wetland vegetation and elevation survey within the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve, Jacksonville, Florida, 2021–2022
Vegetation and elevation data were collected using a real-time kinematic global positioning system (RTK GPS) in coastal wetlands at the National Park Service’s Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve in summer 2021 and winter 2022 (n = 362). For each 0.5-by-0.5 m plot, the following data were collected: 1) percent cover by vegetation species; 2) percent cover by vegetation classes...
Formation tops data from the stratigraphic cross sections of the Lewis Shale in the eastern part of the Southwestern Wyoming Province, Wyoming and Colorado Formation tops data from the stratigraphic cross sections of the Lewis Shale in the eastern part of the Southwestern Wyoming Province, Wyoming and Colorado
This data release contains data associated with the USGS SIM publication "Stratigraphic Cross Sections of the Lewis Shale in the eastern part of the Southwestern Wyoming Province, Wyoming and Colorado". North-to-southeast (A–A’), west-to-east (B–B’), and southwest-to-northeast (C–C’) cross sections were created from 105 wells throughout the eastern part of the Southwestern Wyoming...
Digital Stratigraphic and Structural Grids of the Cretaceous Lewis Shale in the Eastern Part of the Southwestern Wyoming Province, Wyoming and Colorado Digital Stratigraphic and Structural Grids of the Cretaceous Lewis Shale in the Eastern Part of the Southwestern Wyoming Province, Wyoming and Colorado
This data release contains data associated with the Lewis Shale-Fox Hills Sandstone-Lance Formation depositional system (also referred to as the Lewis Shale system) in the eastern part of the Southwestern Wyoming Province of Wyoming and Colorado. Specifically, the data cover the Great Divide, Washakie, and Sand Wash Basins, the Wamsutter and Cherokee arches, and the Rock Springs Uplift...
