Social Network Analysis of the Environmental Justice and Climate Justice Community Active in Climate Adaptation and Conservation: University of Colorado
This research will expand the future impact of CASC research via the potential for increased, targeted work with stakeholders, managers, and rightsholders in the future by identifying thematic areas and key partners with whom the CASCs can work right now, as well as how to sustain those relationships moving forward. Findings from this research will also support USGS, CASC network, and natural resource management goals. USGS and the CASC network produce science to support people and the environment, and this research will help connect the USGS, CASC, and the natural resource managers that the CASC aims to support to diverse 4 organizations, communities, and other groups who are working on climate and environmental justice. Furthermore, actionable science is a foundational value for CASC research, and we have intentionally built in iterative engagement and opportunities for feedback into this research to make our findings useful and useable for the CASC network and natural resource managers who seek to further their work in ways that support environmental and climate justice.
