Annually, the NGGDPP awards more than 20 grants to state geological surveys. Preservation projects are completed in 12 months and upon completion, recipients provide metadata describing preserved collections and data, and a final technical report describing project outcomes. The metadata are cataloged in ReSciColl, formerly the National Digital Catalog.
