John W. Fisher
John Fisher is a Data Scientist with the USGS Geology, Energy & Minerals (GEM) Science Center in Reston, VA.
John works to bridge the research, administrative, and IT communities of the USGS. With ten years of multi-disciplinary experience in geophysics, GIS, and database management, he assists USGS scientists with data management and visualization. He also helps maintain the Mineral Resources Online Spatial Data system and many datasets within it, such as the Earth Mapping Resource Initiative (EMRI), Mineral Resources Data System (MRDS), and USGS Thesaurus.
