I have been employed as a Hydrologic Technician with the USGS Arkansas Water Science Center since 2005. As a Hydrologic Technician I construct and maintain gaging stations, make stream discharge measurements, collect and process water quality data and samples, determine vertical and horizontal datums at gaging stations, and maintain stage and discharge records for gaging stations throughout the State of Arkansas.

In 1997, I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Environmental Health Sciences.  I also hold an Associate of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

My previous work experience includes being employed as a Water Treatment Plant Operator, an Air Quality Inspector, and an Environmental Inspector. I was employed as a Water Treatment Plant Operator with Little Rock Municipal Water Works (now Central Arkansas Water) where I operated multiple drinking water treatment plants as well as the finished water distribution systems controlled by a SCADA system. I was employed as an Air Quality Inspector with Maricopa County Environmental Services in Phoenix, Arizona. As an Air Quality Inspector I inspected permitted facilities with belowground petroleum storage tanks, aboveground petroleum storage, and/or Soil Vapor extraction (SVE) units to determine compliance with general and specific permit conditions involving petroleum vapors. I worked as an Environmental Inspector with the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) in the Regulated Storage Tank (RST) Division where I inspected facilities for compliance with Federal Regulation 40 CFR Part 280 involving petroleum storage tank leak prevention, leak identification, and  leak or spill remediation.
