Leslie Burns

Leslie began her career as a student intern with the Mid-Continent Mapping Center, Technical Planning Unit in September 1989 while working on her B.S. in Business Administration from Drury College. After graduating, in December 1991 she accepted a permanent position with the Missouri Water Science Center as an Administrative Operations Assistant. She was then promoted to the Budget Analyst and later became the Administrative Officer and a member of Senior Staff Management. While working full-time Leslie earned a MA in Management from Webster University. After 26 years of working in the water resources Leslie jumped off the boat and took a position with the USGS, National Geospatial Technical Operations Center in March, 2017 as an Agreements Analyst working in areas of Agreements, Finance and Contracts with the 3DEP/GPSC group.
