Reconnaissance geologic map of the Wadi Khulab Quadrangle, sheet 16/43 A, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Reconnaissance geologic map of the Wadi Khulab Quadrangle, sheet 16/43 A, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Wadi Khulab quadrangle, bounded by lat 16°30’ and 17°00’ N. and long 42°00’ and 43°30’ E., is one of the southernmost quadrangle of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is named after Wadi Khulab, which flows westward across the central part of the area. Approximately one-third of the quadrangle, comprising the mapped area, lies within Saudi Arabia; the remainder lies within the Yemen...

An interpretation of gravity and aeromagnetic surveys of the Greater Jiddah area, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia An interpretation of gravity and aeromagnetic surveys of the Greater Jiddah area, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
A gravity survey of the Jiddah area between lat 21°23' and 21°48' N., long 39°03' and 39°20' E., carried out in early 1977, covers an area of 744 km2 and includes 215 stations, at an average spacing of 1.9 km. The resulting simple Bouguer gravity anomaly map shows a series of four large (7-15 mgal) gravity anomaly highs along a north-trending gravity gradient located immediately west of...

Preliminary results of the Sabkhah Hazawza gravity project, Wadi as Sirhan area, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Preliminary results of the Sabkhah Hazawza gravity project, Wadi as Sirhan area, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
One hundred thirty seven new gravity stations at an average station density of one station per 17.5 km2 have been established in a 40 x 60 km area centered on Sabkhah Hazawza in the northwestern part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A successful tie to existing Arabian American Oil Co. (ARAMCO) gravity data was made and a simple Bouguer gravity anomaly map was compiled during the survey...
