Olli Sweeney
Olli Sweeney is a Hydrologic Technician in the USGS Virginia and West Virginia Water Science Center.
Olli was an Intern with the USGS Water Science Geophysics Branch office in Storrs, Connecticut during the summer of 2017, working on a variety of projects including the Mississippi Alluvial Plan (MAP) Aquifer survey, using thermal imaging on the Mashpee and Quashnet rivers on Cape Cod to search for groundwater seeps, and using GEM2 frequency-domain radar systems to look for decomposed oil constituents in the groundwater near Bemidji, Minnesota as part of the long-term oil spill/groundwater study.
In the USGS New England Water Science Center, Olli worked as a support and sampling staff for the water quality network. In addition, they evaluated data from observing dissolved oxygen levels in rivers across Connecticut.
