Rachel DuBose, PhD

Rachel DuBose is currently an Assistant Center Director in the Lower Mississippi-Gulf Water Science Center

In her role as Assistant Center Director, Dr. DuBose leads the Coastal Studies Section of the Hydrologic Transport and Response Branch. Her team investigates topics related to water quality and quantity, sediment transport, ecological flows, hydrologic alteration, and the hydrology of coastal systems. Prior to joining the USGS, Dr. DuBose was a research hydrologist with the USDA Agricultural Research Service and a project manager with the US Army Corps of Engineers. Her research spans topics including water quality, watershed hydrology, and quantification of trace gases in aquatic environments.
