Tandie is a geographer at the National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC) Hydrography Operations.

Tandie is a geographer, environmental scientist, and GIS professional with expertise in fluvial and coastal geomorphology, estuarine ecology, and the geographical distribution of solar photovoltaic (PV) installations across the United States. 

In February 2022, she joined the U.S. Geological Survey’s Geosciences and Environmental Change Science Center (GECSC) in Denver, CO as a GIS Technician. Notably, her team developed the first publicly available polygon dataset of large-scale solar photovoltaic (LSPV) installations in the United States.

In February 2024, Tandie transitioned to the National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC) Hydrography Operations, where she serves as a geographer. Her responsibilities include the production and quality assurance of surface water data for The National Map under the 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP).
