Victoria D. Benitez
Victoria Benitez is a Hydrologic Technician at the California Water Science Center in San Diego.
Victoria began her career with the USGS at the Redlands field office as a Student Contractor, collecting data for the ground and surface water monitoring wells as a hydrologic technician. Her primary responsibilities were maintaining streamgages, field data collection, and processing surface water and groundwater records. In 2022, she was hired as a Pathways Intern for the Groundwater Availability and Use Assessments program in San Diego concentrating her skills in GIS for the team.
Victoria is now one of the GIS specialists working for the CAWSC Groundwater Availability program and is responsible for creating detailed maps of different research projects throughout the state of California.
