The north vent fountain is fan shaped and is currently 500 feet (150 meters) high. Tremor has peaked, but effusion rate continues to increase so maximum fountain height has not been reached yet.
Kilauea Message 2026-07-15 09:20:45 HST
The north vent fountain has grown to 330 feet (100 meters) as of 9:20 a.m. HST. Fountain height is expected to continue to increase over the next hour. Current plume is moving to the southwest at lower levels below the inversion level.
