Hydrographic feature extraction
Many methods exist to extract features from geospatial data. This work focuses on development of automated techniques for extracting and validating hydrographic features to assist with updates to the National Hydrography Dataset.
3DEP Feature extraction and conflation
Ongoing research in CEGIS has focused on creating semantically-accessible terrain features for the nation from the National Geospatial Program’s (NGP) pixel-based 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) data.
