Nauru

In 2024, Nauru was not a globally significant producer of mineral commodities. Production of industrial minerals represented only a minor part of the economy of the country. Mineral commodities produced in Nauru included phosphate rock. The legislative framework for the mineral sector in Nauru is provided by the RONPHOS Act 2005 (as amended in 2013) and the National Seabed Minerals Authority Act of 2024. Mineral commodities were produced by domestic, government–owned companies.
