Togo

In 2024, Togo was not a globally significant producer of mineral commodities. The production of mineral commodities represented only a minor part of the economy of Togo. Mineral commodities produced in Togo included cement, diamond, gold, gravel, iron ore, limestone, and phosphate rock. The legislative framework for the mineral sector in Togo is provided law No. 2003–012. The Ministry of Mines and Energy Resources oversees the mineral sector and manages the distribution of permits for exploration, and the administration of investments in the sector. Most mineral commodities were produced by international and domestic private companies.
