USGS Research Microbiologist receives national service award

Christina Kellogg (Research Microbiologist, SPCMSC) was awarded the 2020 American Society for Microbiology’s Award for Service in recognition of outstanding contributions through service to the microbiological community.

SPCMSC Research Microbiologist Christina Kellogg is the recipient of the 2020 American Society for Microbiology Service Award. The American Society for Microbiology is the largest single life science society, composed of more than 30,000 scientists and health professionals. ASM's mission is to promote and advance the microbial sciences. ASM builds sustainable scientific capacity and increases capability in the microbial sciences in 112 countries. The award is given in recognition of outstanding contributions to the microbiological community. An award ceremony will occur during the ASM MICROBE 2020 conference in Chicago, June 2020.
