USGS SPCMSC staff participate in the Community for Data Integration Workshop 2019

Personnel from St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Center, Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Center, Pacific Coastal and Marine Center, and Reston National Center participated in the DataBlast session at the Community for Data Integration Workshop, June 3–7, in Boulder, Colorado; presenting a poster titled "New Imagery Data System for Coastal/Marine Hazards and Resources Program".

Heather Schreppel (Data Management Specialist, SPCMSC) participated in the DataBlast session at the Community for Data Integration Workshop, June 3–7, in Boulder, Colorado, along with co-authors, Seth Ackerman (WHCMSC), Evan Dailey (PCMSC), Peter Schweitzer (Reston National Center), and Frances Lightsom (WHCMSC) presenting a poster titled "New Imagery Data System for Coastal/Marine Hazards and Resources Program". Joseph Carroll and Robert Wertz, both from SPCSMC, also attended the workshop.

The CDI holds in-person workshops every two years. These meetings are a crucial step for focusing people, funding, and Bureau-wide efforts across the USGS on data integration tools and services, data and information management, and computational methods. Participants join to grow their expertise in handling scientific data, to propose collaborative paths to solve data challenges, and to share knowledge with their network of peers.
