The Spring 2026 Minnesota Ground Water Association (MGWA) conference took place on April 23rd at the Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

The theme of the conference was "It's TIME to talk about groundwater: understanding groundwater age, methods, and implications for resources management."
 
Over 240 groundwater scientists attended the conference, which featured a series of platform presentations, lightning talks, a poster session, and a student networking lunch.
 
Laura Schachter (Hydrologist, Upper Midwest Water Science Center, Madison, WI) gave a platform presentation titled "A Nitrate Decision Support Tool that incorporates groundwater lag times to wells and streams" and Bryant Jurgens (Research Hydrologist, California Water Science Center, Sacramento, CA) gave a platform presentation titled "Using Groundwater Age to Guide Long-Term Groundwater Quality Management".
 
Jared Trost (Hydrologist, Upper Midwest Water Science Center, St. Paul, MN) is the current president of MGWA and presided over the conference.
