The Department of Interior’s Office of Aviation Services and the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Uncrewed Systems Office are developing a training that will be hosted by the U.S. Geological Survey Washington Water Science Center summer of 2024. 

Training Survey:

Complete the survey to express interest in the training and receive notification when registration opens. Your response will also be used to develop a training event that is tailored to the experience levels and needs within the UAS community. Registration will occur once the training is developed; completion of the questionnaire does not guarantee a spot. The survey closes on October 31, 2023.

Why UAS?

Uncrewed Aviation Systems (UAS) allow scientists and resource managers to collect data quickly and safely. UAS can help scientists identify and respond to natural hazards, analyze the impacts of climate change, monitor and model dynamic environmental systems, and assess landscape change.
