TNMCorps prefers that volunteers not add new cemetery points to the system if a name cannot be confirmed. Here is a refresher on cemetery collection.
In cases where the locations of cemeteries really cannot be verified but trusted sources acknowledge their existence, we've adopted a hands-off approach. It's an unsatisfying solution, but we recommend not deleting or editing existing points whose locations and/or names cannot be verified, and not creating any new points for cemeteries whose locations and/or names cannot be verified. The best option would be to take note of any unnamed cemeteries, and only create/update the data point when a name can be confirmed. I hope that helps clear things up, but of course let us know if you have more questions.
The September 2019 newsletter below has further guidance on researching and collecting cemeteries.
