Brown treesnake 2009 supplemental feeding data and 2008-2012 capture mark recapture data from a closed population on Guam

June 23, 2026

The two datasets consist of capture-mark-recapture (cmr) data for brown treesnakes (Bioga irregularis), and a database containing information about supplemental food added to the population in 2009. The cmr data were collected in the closed population (CP) on Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. These data were used to assess how the population growth rate was affected by two perturbations that took place in the CP between 2008 and 2012, 1) a supplemental feeding study and 2) removal of all individuals greater than 900 millimeters snout vent length (SVL, the size class generally susceptible to toxic baits). The supplemental food database contains the frequency, number, and mass of prey items added to the CP in 2009.
