Cisco Coregonus artedi detection by environmental DNA during spawning runs in Lake Huron tributaries (2022-2024)

February 5, 2026

This dataset describes environmental DNA (eDNA) sample collections, DNA extractions, and DNA copy numbers (abundance of environmental DNA) for cisco Coregonus artedi, a native prey fish of restoration interest in the Laurentian Great Lakes, in tributaries to Lake Huron’s North Channel in Canada. Samples were collected during cisco spawning runs (mid-November) from 2022-2024.
