Geochemical data for water, soil, and stream sediments from lower Panther Creek Watershed, Idaho, 2023 and 2024

October 30, 2026

This U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release includes data for stream water, stream sediment, soil, and soil leachates for material collected in Lemhi County, Idaho to support a Mineral Resources Program funded study of mining and wildfire effects on water quality and aquatic ecosystem stability following the 2022 Moose Fire. The fire burned over 130,000 acres in Upper Napias, Arnett, and Moose Creek watersheds prior to containment on November 9, 2022. Field campaigns were carried out in June 2023, September 2023, and June 2024. Sample sites were selected for this study based on geology, mining history, and impact from the Moose fire.
